Competition

The Competition practice provides a full range of competition services including in relation to merger control, cartels, abuse of dominance and other restrictive practices.

The Firm had been involved in a number of mergers in major industries which include paint, manufacturing, feed mills and commercial property. It has succeeded in obtaining merger clearances in opposed proceedings (some which have even been finalized by the courts) and hostile takeovers. It has also assisted clients in merger notifications by preparing and filing merger applications and works with external Counsel in this regard.

The practice also offers advisory on a range of competition matters such as the implications of commercial agreements. In this regard RB has advised a number of companies such as Eagles Nest, Crane Feeds, Premier Swazi Bakeries, Eswatini Supply Centre, Southern Trading Company & Kraft foods.
